  • What is a podiatrist?
A podiatrist is the healthcare professional who specializes in the local affections of the foot and ankle. Your podiatrist can perform ultrasound guided examens and interventions, prescribe X-rays and medication, execute injections, evaluate and order orthotics, conduct in-office operations, etc.
  • Are podiatric consultations and treatments covered by RAMQ?
Because podiatric medicine is currently a service only offered in the private sector, podiatric consultations and treatments are not covered by RAMQ (Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec).
  • Are podiatric consultations and treatments covered by private insurance plans?
Many insurance plans cover fees related to consultation, treatment, and minor surgery. As every insurance plan is specific to everyone, we recommend you verify with your insurance company for your particular needs.
  • Is a medical referral needed to consult a podiatrist?
No medical referral is needed to see a podiatrist.
  • Can a podiatrist prescribe orthotics?
Yes, depending on your specific needs, a podiatrist may prescribe, fabricate, and modify custom foot orthoses. At Podiactive, your podiatrist will ensure a proper diagnosis and a meticulous follow-up.
  • What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, debit and cash.
